Last updated: Jan 15th, 2024

Thank you for visiting our Privacy Policy. We at Onshore Mortgage, LLC. care about your privacy and respect the rights of our users. This online privacy notice describes the types of personal information we collect, how we may use the information, with whom we may share it and the choices you may have regarding our use of this information. We also describe the measures taken to safeguard the information and explain how to contact us in case of a complaint.

This online privacy notice applies to the personal information we obtain through this website and other sites, applications and other data collection points that link to this online privacy notice (collectively, the “site”). Other privacy principles or policies could apply depending on how you interact with us, the financial products, or services you may ultimately obtain from us, or the State in which we are doing business with you.

We are committed to being your most trusted advocate in your pursuit of a low rate mortgage.

We may obtain the following types of personal information when you choose to provide it through our Site:

  • Contact information, such as your name, telephone number, postal address and email address;
  • your loan number and Social Security number when you register for our online account;
  • login credentials, such as your username and password;
  • financial account information when you make a payment to us;
  • information about your education, work and military history, legal work eligibility status; and

In addition, when you visit our site, we may collect certain information by automated means, such as cookies and web beacons. The information we obtain in this manner includes IP address, browser characteristics, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, information on actions taken on our site, and dates and times of website visits. A “cookie” is a text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser. A “web beacon”, also known as an Internet tag, pixel tag or clear GIF, is a tiny graphic image that may be used on our site. Through these automated collection methods, we obtain “clickstream data,” which is a log of content on which a visitor clicks while browsing a website. As the visitor clicks through the website, a record of the action may be collected and stored. Your browser may tell you how to be notified when you receive certain types of cookies or how to restrict or disable certain types of cookies. Please note, however, that without cookies you may not be able to use all of the features of our Site.

  • manage career opportunities;
  • protect against, identify and prevent fraud and other criminal activity, claims and other liabilities; and

In addition, we use information collected online through cookies, web beacons and other automated means for purposes such as (i) customizing our users’ visits to our site, (ii) delivering content (including advertising) tailored to our users’ interests and the manner in which our users browse our site, and (iii) managing our business. We also use this information to help diagnose technical and service problems, administer our site, and identify users of our site. We use clickstream data to determine how much time users spend on web pages of our site, how users navigate through our site, and how we may tailor our site to better meet the needs of our users.

We also may use the information we obtain about you in other ways for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection.

Information We Share:

We do not sell or otherwise share personal information about you, except as described in this Online Privacy Notice. We share personal information with third party lenders whom perform services on our behalf. These third parties are not authorized by us to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements.

We also may disclose information about you (i) if we are required to do so by law or legal process, (ii) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities, (iii) for the purpose of or in connection with legal proceedings, or otherwise for the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending our legal rights or (iv) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss, or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraudulent or illegal activity. We reserve the right to transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a reorganization, dissolution or liquidation).

You Have A Choice:

We offer you choices about how we communicate with you and what information we collect from you. To update your preferences, ask us to remove your information from our mailing lists, please contact us as indicated in the How To Contact Us section of this Online Privacy Notice.

Links To Other Websites:

Our site may contain links to other websites for your convenience and information. These websites may be operated by companies not affiliated with Onshore Mortgag, LLC. Linked websites typically have their own privacy policies or published notices. We strongly suggest you review if you visit any linked websites. We are not responsible for the content of any websites that are not affiliated with Onshore Mortgage, LLC., any use of those websites, or the privacy practices of those websites.

Security:

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.

Information you send us must pass through your own computer, your own Internet Service Provider, our Internet Provider, and eventually to us. As soon as the personal information that you have put into your browser leaves your computer, it is encrypted using "SSL" (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. Any network between you and us, including your ISP and our ISP, will only see garbled encrypted data if they were to "eavesdrop" on our connection. Google Chrome and Internet Explorer indicate that the transfer is secure via two mechanisms. First, the URL on any secured page will begin with https:// rather than http://. Secondly, the browser may display a lock, a blue/green bar, or other indicator showing that your data will be encrypted prior to transmission.

Once we receive your encrypted information, our system de-crypts your data, and places it into a password-protected database on a secured network protected by a VPN that is again accessed through another "2 factor" password-protected system, located behind a firewall with an additional firewall backup. The only other way to get at this information is to use our website and the administration password that you supply during the account creation process. This is why you should keep this password in a safe place, and why we only send your password to your e-mail address. However, as soon as we send your password in e-mail, you should immediately log in and change your password to prevent someone on the internet from obtaining your password, and hence, access to your private information.

Additionally our LOS (loan-officer-software) system goes through an Annual Security Audit and is certified by Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. Starting since its inception, WEI Technology LLC has been publishing their Service Organization SOC 2 report, a comprehensive third-party review that certifies they meet one of the highest standards for security, availability & confidentiality controls in the mortgage industry. The examination included the controls related to the Trust Services Principles and Criteria of Security, Availability and Confidentiality of their Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings.

Cookies:

It is our goal to provide the most intuitive and hassle-free experience at our Web site. As a result, we use a technology called a "cookie." The way a cookie functions is that our Web site, after authenticating who you are by having you verify your e-mail address and password, passes a unique cookie to your computer. Once your computer obtains this cookie, it will present this cookie back to us. Our site checks to see if the cookie that you are presenting to us matches what we initially gave you. If it does, then we allow you access to our site without having to re-enter your username. This cookie only exists while the browser is running. It is always a good idea to quit the browser (or restart the computer) if you share your computer with others.

We also use cookies to help keep track of the representative you are working with (if any). This cookie contains no private information, and will remain on your computer even if you quit the browser. Like any technology, the use of it determines its value. Cookies are a convenient way to avoid having to type in your login every time you visit the site. What the above scenario allows is the ability of our Web site's "cyber bouncer" to be able to say, "I've seen you before, you can come in." This is a convenience that many of our clients use and appreciate.

However, there are cases when you may not want to use a cookie. For example, if multiple people use your computer, it is possible for someone to sit down after you have gotten up, visit your history or bookmarks, visit our site, and have access to your sensitive data on our Web site. This is because our "cyber bouncer" is only sophisticated enough to know that your computer has been trusted. There is no way for us to determine that you are still at your computer. The best thing you can do is quit the browser when you are finished; the cookie will be removed.

Children’s Personal Information:

Our Site is designed for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13) through our Site. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under thirteen (13), we will promptly delete the information from our records. If you believe a child under thirteen (13) may have provided us with personal information, please contact us as specified in the How to Contact Us section of this Online Privacy Notice.

Updates to the Online Privacy Policy:

This Online Privacy Notice will be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practices. We will post a notice on our site to notify you of any significant changes to our Online Privacy Notice and indicate at the top of the notice when it was most recently updated.
